When you drop a statement, the code in the page opens it in your browser, the same way a PDF viewer does. There's no account, no sign-in and no server that receives files: the site is only the page itself.

Gone when you close the tab

Transactions and statements aren't saved anywhere. The only thing kept is your answers (who a payer is, the settings you typed) in your own browser, so you don't repeat them next month. One click forgets them.

Check it yourself

Once the page has loaded, turn off Wi-Fi and drop your files: it still works, because nothing goes out. Or open your browser's developer tools, choose Network, and watch while you add a file. The code is public on GitHub.

What the page does load

When it opens, the page downloads its fonts (Google Fonts) and its PDF reader (cdnjs), like any website loading its parts, plus a cookieless visit counter (GoatCounter) that records only which page or tab was opened and the site that linked here, never your files, numbers or choices. Those downloads never include your files or numbers. Starting Out share links carry the choices after the #, which browsers never send to the site.
